The General Manager at Heidi's Brooklyn Deli is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, customer service, and staff management. They must ensure that the restaurant is clean, safe, and in compliance with all health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a management role in the restaurant industry and possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Additionally, they should be able to work independently and as part of a team, have the ability to resolve customer complaints, and support community relations.
- Monthly health reimbursement of $200 with active health insurance*

- Average of 50 hours per week
- 40 hours on average in the restaurant
- 10 hours on average of admin work
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, customer service, and staff management
- Ensure that the restaurant is clean, safe, and in compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Hire, train, and schedule staff
- Manage inventory and supplies
- Order and receive inventory
- Complete administrative tasks, such as labor management, food cost, and general store maintenance
- Create and maintain a positive work environment
- Resolve customer complaints
- Support Community Relations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in a management role in the restaurant industry
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate strong conflict-resolution skills and quality verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Meeting the physical requirements of the role, which may include, but are not limited to, standing for long periods, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting up to 55 lbs, and performing routine restaurant tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Have the ability to obtain and maintain any required food safety licenses or certifications per local state, and federal regulations
- Holding a valid driver’s license is required along with active car insurance, as occasional driving may be necessary
- Be at least 18 years old- ready to lead and grow in your career
